Terms & Conditions
These terms cover use of this website and enquiries or bookings made through it. A separate written agreement may apply to a filming project once the brief and fee are confirmed.
1. Who these terms cover
Interviews by Kate Davies provides interview filming and related services. By using this website, sending an enquiry, or booking a time, you agree to these terms. If you are booking for someone else, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. Website information
Content on this site is general information about the service. Fees, availability, locations and deliverables for a specific job are confirmed in writing before work begins.
3. Enquiries and bookings
- Submitting the contact form or booking calendar is a request to talk or meet, not an automatic contract for a full interview production.
- Booked conversation times are held for that slot. Please cancel or reschedule as early as you can if you cannot attend.
- We may decline or reschedule a booking if the requested time is no longer available, or if the request is not a fit for the service.
4. Services
Interview services typically include preparation, filming and delivery of the agreed film or files. Scope, timeline, revisions and price are agreed before filming. Additional work outside that scope may be quoted separately.
5. Permissions and people on camera
- You confirm that everyone appearing on camera (or their parent/guardian, where required) agrees to be filmed for the purpose you described.
- You are responsible for any music, logos, locations or materials you ask us to include, and for having the rights to use them.
- Private family films stay private unless you ask us to share them. Business or founder films may be used publicly when that is part of the agreed brief.
6. Fees and cancellation
Project fees, deposits and cancellation terms are set out when a job is booked. Website conversation bookings are free to request; repeated no-shows may mean we ask you to enquire by email instead.
7. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Kate retains copyright in the filmed work and production materials. You receive the usage rights set out in the project agreement — for example private family viewing, or marketing use for a founder film. Website text, design and branding remain ours.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the website, attempt to break security, scrape content at scale, or submit abusive or unlawful material through the forms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or from a delay or failure outside our reasonable control (for example illness, weather, venue issues or equipment failure). Nothing in these terms excludes rights you cannot waive under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts in Victoria have jurisdiction, without limiting any rights you have as a consumer.
